Christmas Cookies: Let's Get Baked

The family I used to nanny for in New York [which really I should refer to them as my New York family, because I truly love them like family], had an annual tradition of bringing cookies to their local Police and Fire Departments on Christmas Day.

A tradition I have adopted, just as fondly as they adopted me. It’s a rewarding feeling to see something as simple as some home baked goodies light up the faces of those who serve and protect us.

This year I’m a little stumped on which recipes I want to make. Generally I have to restrain myself from overcommitting, and stick to making about 4 different cookies [which some years still seems like too much].

These are just a few of the recipes that might make the cut this year.
